Estonian Athlete Wins Historic Gold at the European Championship

Limestone Factories of Estonia OÜ has long supported the Estonian Kickboxing Federation, including a young athlete from Narva who made history in Estonian sports by becoming the European Kickboxing Champion in November 2024.

At the European Kickboxing Championship, held in Athens from November 1 to 10, Alexandra Djikaeva defeated Turkish athlete Zeynep Cetintas (ranked No. 1 in the WAKO World Champion rankings) in the women’s K-1 final in the 48 kg category.

Alexandra Djikaeva, born in 2003, represents the Konkiro club in Narva. She competes in K-1, the most intense style of kickboxing, in the 48 kg weight class. She joined the Estonian national team in 2018 and immediately won a bronze medal at the World Championship (junior category). In 2019, she became the European Champion (junior category), followed by another European Championship title in 2021 (senior juniors). In 2022, she won bronze at the European Championship (adult category), and in 2023, she secured bronze at the World Championship (adult category). In 2024, she claimed gold at the World Cup and the European Championship, making her a European Champion in all age categories!

On her path to victory, she overcame highly decorated opponents from Turkey, Serbia, and Austria, including world and European champions. This victory not only placed her at the top of the podium but also marked a significant milestone for Estonia, highlighting a new level of achievement in martial arts for the country.
