Before Production Modernization
Until 2008, 65% of the extracted limestone was processed into crushed stone, while 35% became poorly marketable 0–4 mm fractions.
After the Introduction of Modern Technologies
Following the implementation of the CDE processing line in 2008, 92% of the mined limestone was transformed into washed sand and crushed stone of various fractions.
In 2013, after the installation of the Fraccaroli & Balzan filter press, the remaining 8% also began to be utilized as raw material — for example, for quarry bottom waterproofing or the production of ceramic products.
